Charleston is one of the more interesting cities in America and Serendipity Labs did not fail to match the intrigue of it with its incredible architectural design in the lab's main area. It was this lab that reminded Gurney how much he adores shooting all of their architecture and modern decor.

Shot high up in Serendipity Labs' DTLA location, the goal was to capture all windows. And with every shot, there's a vision and with typically an extremely small window to see and direct it, this was the result. This shot was complete in less than 10 minutes.

Part of my photoshoot is walking the space to shoot just its architecture. Lots of times I'll capture people doing themselves prior to set-directed scenes. Here, a tour of the space is given.

A bank vault from yesteryear that was left as part of a new buildout (as it should have been). Here, it's usage is as a conference room. Brilliant design.

Seed Architecture

The Circle Tower lobby located off of Monument Circle in Indianapolis, is one of the most impressive examples from the art deco era.

Building owned and operated by Expansive Coworking

No better example of modern architecture than floor to ceiling windows. In this case, the goal was to showcase that, positioning Heiner in the middle of the frame using a Serendipity Lab staple adjustable height desk.

The Eden Roc has one of the more classic art deco era lobbies in South Beach. From its original teak wood to its speckled tile flooring. Truly mid century modern interior decor and architectural perfection.

Commissioned by Level Office to capture both their new buildout in their coworking space along with entire architectural powerhouse Pioneer Building, it's this photoshoots that is still one of my most memorable.

Threes. Apparently, it's just how our lovely brains work. For one, three is the smallest number that can be used to form a distinguishable pattern in our heads. So perhaps that why Gurney shoots in threes often. Here, three elevators showing off fantastic wall decor and original art deco flooring.

One of the more special places to shoot is the lobby in the Graduate Hotel. From artwork of the great Minnie Pearl to its parisian-esque coffee shop, it's maximalism at its best.

The Groover Stewart building now houses Expansive workspace, formerly Novel Coworking and LEVEL Office. Architecture by Marsh & Saxelbye (1925).

Moncler reached out to Yale to capture the before and after buildout of their new Bal Harbour store. This is a sample of the finished product.

A take from Expansive Workspace's Milwaukee location. With views of Cathedral Square, this photoshoot produced some core images for them.

When not shooting today's modern architecture, there's nothing quite like shooting some of America's classic buildings. The Angebilt opened its doors in 1923 as a hotel. Today, it's home to Expansive Workspace offices (Novel Coworking when this was shot).

Silverstein Properties commissioned Yale to capture several of its buildings and specific buildouts from their suite of property ownership in Gurney's hometown New York City. This was LaVazza USA Headquarters.

The incredible lobby of 777 Avenue of Americas, home to some of New York City's finest companies. Made of mostly marble materials and a hint of great art equals interior decor perfection.
